Also, my 2016 G sounded horrible when I bought it. I couldn’t tune it at all. I took it to my stereo guy and he got it dialed in. There were some settings on one of the amps that needed adjusting. When I asked him what he did, he said, “I just turned a few screws!” LOL! I will be taking my new G to him shortly.

Except for the tower speakers, most the speakers are pretty hidden. I do think it sounds good. Definately not worth the 5k upgrade.
Fob, does your stereo setup look exactly like this?

2x 12” subs, 4x JLs on the tower?

Just picked up our GS22 today. I am a stereo guy and I thought the stereo sounded really good. It has everything but the two center tower speakers.

Agreed. Mine sounds good. Just no where near loud enough / what I expected. My expectations coming from a wetsounds setup with a W7 were to high.

this is JL’s lower grade line, I wasn’t aware of that. I don’t think Nautique discloses the actual specs of the components used.

Again, I do not know much about the JL line details as of recent, but it is plenty loud as well as having good quality sound to me. Seems like more than enough to upset some people. I have no experience with Wetsounds to compare. I haven't been listening 75' back off the boat yet either, but inside it is awesome and enough volume for us.

This might sound dumb, but what source are you using? The bluetooth will only go as loud as the unit it is coming from. I was once embarrassed when I turned it up to brag to my friends and couldn't figure out why it was lacking. Then I found the volume button on my phone.

Try the Aux cord and see if that makes a difference as well.

These systems definitely like hard wired sound sources over Bluetooth.

Another thing.... this H6 takes FOREVER to warm up. Not until you are cruising for an extended period that it will finally hit the 150s-160s.

sat idling at the ramp for 10mins... 118degs was as high as it would get

Idling an engine is a very inefficient way to warm the engine. Drive the boat, avoiding high rpms until operating temperature is reached will warm the engine more efficiently.

                              Quick follow up:

the tower up cover will NOT work with the tower down.

its real close... probably 5””” short in the back and 8”” short by the tower bases. And would need reinforcements sewn in at the tops of the tower bases poking up when folded.

Also.. Nautique still hasn’t solved the bimini issue where it scissors and damages the material when folded and doing any decent distances towing. You’ll need to cut a .99 cent pool noodle to length on the wear areas and slice it length wise and slide it over the Bimini pole in a few areas.

Any pics of what you are talking about and where? Is it just on the G or everything with that bimini? I have the GS, and would like to avoid the problem if I can. thanks
