Cedar, I have 750’s on my boat as well. Looking at the picture it appears the bag isn’t filling in the back portion of the locker like my bags do, which would make less room on top. Probably a good thing as my back panels have bowed in and I had to put an L bracket in to keep them in place. Not sure what the performance difference is but it looks like it’d be less stress on the dividers. I’ve don’t a lot to reinforce mine due to warping issues.

Yea, we had our local prop repair shop install some pretty heady duty metal straps to brace our engine dividers.

I am glad you chimed in because I was really questioning the size of bags I have, even though I personally bought them from wakemakers. And yes, ours fill up much more length in the compartment than the custom bags in the photos does so guess that’s where the extra weight is being put.

Just for FYI, here is the wakemakers bag filled with air, just so you can see the shape. I'll try to take some different shots of the bags full this weekend so you can see how much room this bag has remaining from lid.

Like you guys, i have U channel bars (x3 on each side) on my engine dividers running horizontal.

Yea, that is much taller and narrower than the Fly High 750.

I filled our 750’s up and finally remembered to get a picture. Never mind how nasty they look.

By chance do you have pics of the divider reinforcements? I just changed my 550’s out for 750’s and need to support those bags better.

And cedar creek is right. This is my set up too on my 2018. I put 50 to 100lbs of lead up front depending if anybody is up there or not. These boats don’t love nose weight so be careful.

Yea, we have 500 pounds of lead scattered around with 100 pounds in the very front center under our anchor and 50 pounds each left and right bow storage under seat, 100 port clam storage as far forward as I can shove it, 100 right under the port removable lean back and 100 right behind the driver seat. With no rear ballast full, just cruising, the boat is very nose heavy and if not careful you will submarine it quick, ask me how I know. My wife about sank the boat the first time I dropped her in and she took off from the ramp in choppy water. Took off nice and slow and nosed straight into three consecutive waves filling the boat with about 5 inches of water across the entire boat. Fortunately she got it up on plane and the bilge did the rest.

I will get some this weekend when I get to the boat. They used the same dividers they just welded metal support straps to the engine side of the divider. They are stiff as a board now and I have zero fear about them collapsing.

I appreciate the solid info guys!! I’m about to help my brother in law setup his 210 on Saturday. He has the pro ballast and ~800# lead Wake. We’re hoping for a great outcome.

You will not be disappointed. I would put 300 in each rear locker and 200 in the bow and move on with it. At that you will be real close to the setup we are running.

Thanks for all the advice. 3,000 lb seem to be the magic number for my boat for an incredible surf wave. Placed almost exactly where you guys recommended! Really appreciate all the help here. Thanks you

                            A couple notes here from a 2015 210 owner...

I'm on my 2nd summer in the boat, a fairly big guy, and just upgraded ballast.

Buxton Marine in Dallas has (or if they don't have, can make) aluminum dividers in lieu of the plastic Nautique ones. I want to say they are 1/4" 6061 aluminum. They absolutely haven't gone anywhere with the new upgraded ballast in there - zero bow into the engine and perfect fit. Additionally since they're aluminum they're only marginally heavier than the plastic ones. They weren't cheap, but they were plug and play replacements for the plastic.

I had everything filled to the brim and 3 adults and two kids in the boat and what made the biggest difference in wave cleanliness was putting my 220lb friend in the front seats. This has impressed to me the need for some lead up there - maybe 250lbs would do the trick. Otherwise the boat threw up a rooster tail and a very muddled wake. I'd guess this is deck angle and the wake was disrupted by the swim platform/back of the boat/something... but putting weight in the front wasn't what I initially thought of, and I'm glad I did.

I've found running 0/0 on the settings was best as well. I've also found 11 to be our sweet spot.

I've found better performance of the wave in the 50' water we can get than the 15' stuff closest to the house, but that's hard to say for sure.

It's eye-watering how much better the wake is on the starboard side of the boat. Absolutely massive stuff - might need to learn to ride goofy someday.

I am a bigger guy too and can tell you the lead in the front will do the trick. We had Buxton, actually McGill's did the work through Buxton, to reinforce our engine dividers and are happy with it. I have 200 pounds of lead up under the bow seats and another 100 pounds as far forward in the port clam shell as possible, so 300 pounds total in front of the windshield. I think our wave is one of the strongest I have ridden. May not be the tallest or the longest, but it's very good size and strong enough to push my 230 pounds on both a skim and a surf style board.

Where did you source your lead? Buxton says they don't sell it. I'm going to ask around Houston, but was curious before I ordered it online from Lead Wake.
