    Shipping/ towing recommendations?

I have a G23 that is currently in the LKN, NC area and I would like to get it across the country. Does anyone here have any recommendations or have experience with any companies for such a thing? I looked briefly at Uship, but that could be done by anyone! Scares me a bit. The boat is on a trailer and I need the boat and trailer moved.

    Thank you in advance,
    Jeff

    I had posted this before...

Ever head the story about a transporter showing up with a Jeep Wranger he was being paid to deliver and was going to piggyback the transport of a G23 with it.

Understand your risks with companies like Uship. They specifically say they are a "sales" company/broker so in effect you are in contract with the carrier directly at your own risk unless you buy their insurance.

After a bunch of research I went directly to a DOT shipper and eliminated the brokerage charge. I found Glide Transport who is fully DOT licensed and insured. Awesome and fair service. Shipped 2 different boats (Boston Whaler Wisconsin to Florida and Nautique 230 from Ozarks to Florida) over $1,200 miles each time. I also got proof of insurance directly from his carrier. Glide - Michael Tello 312-965-1505. While on the phone, ask him about the risks of non-DOT licensed shippers.

Also do a search of this forum for other discussions.

    Good luck.
