I have had the opportunity to work with Nautique on a larger warranty issue on our G the last year. I have debated posting something, as I want my story to be one of huge success and commitment to quality and the customer long after the sale from Nautique, and not one that is focused on the issue we had. With that, I am not going to share the specifics of what occurred, but how Nautique took care of the customer.
A little over a year ago I noticed something occurring on our boat. This was not a mechanical or structural issue, but something that would have affected our enjoyment, and would have most definitely affected our overall boat value and resale. To be honest, I was freaking out a little because I didn't really know what was going on.
We contacted Nautique via our great dealer explaining the situation, sent some pictures, etc. The very same day Nautique told us not to worry, that whatever the outcome they would take care of us.
This was not a defect in the boat or something that Nautique really could have prevented, and was a fairly unique situation. It is something that I think 95% of other boat manufacturers would not have addressed or found some exclusion or reason warranty would not have covered it, or said you have a 3 year-old boat this is to be expected. Not only did Nautique take care of it, at great time and expense to them, they have been there with us every step of the way making sure that the end result is as good or better than what you would expect from the factory. I can honestly say that we have an even better boat today than we would have at this point if there was never an issue in the first place. This will still be the case 10 years from now with whoever owns our boat in 2029.
Nautique stepped up without a single question, any pushback or hand wringing. When we had some issues with being a little more remote, they did even more.
Nautique builds the best boat on the water, which is huge. But, Nautique also has the best warranty and customer support on and off the water - which is even huger. We all want our boats to run and look perfect, but no matter how good you are that is not always a reality in an imperfect world. Having a perfect warranty and great customer service gets you pretty close though.
