Towing Nautique with FAE in water

Has anyone done any verification that towing (behind another boat or houseboat) with FAE installed, and no flapper, does not push water up towards the engine?

I assume there is enough draft with the prop and the way the FAE is shaped that it wouldn't. But I don't know for sure.

    Thanks

How would it? Unless you installed the down pipe backwards or are towing the boat backwards there'd be no way to force water up the pipe with the way it's constructed.

I agree... the way it’s shaped there’s nothing to worry about
