The selling price on those deals is the value of your boat before they cracked it. It is what you could have sold it for before their error. It is what they can sell it for after they replace the block. If they give you that as trade-in then you know they aren't making money on the trade-in. They can incur the expense of replacing the block and break even on the sale or they can weld it and take a loss on the sale.
On the new boat, I would expect a 25% or more discount. I would also ask for a hefty credit in the pro shop. You should get something more than the "standard" discount. You didn't ask to buy a new boat. They forced you into it. Again, they should not profit on this side either.
You need to ask for the sky as your opening offer. If they say "no we will just replace the block" start backing down or see what they offer until they will agree to a trade. That's the only way you stand a chance at knowing you've gotten a deal that is equal between replacing the block versus trading it in.
