Need help with setting up lift for 2006 196 - concerned about the fins clearing

So I just bought a new to me 196 and need help setting up the lift. It's a 4000 lb porta dock verticle lift and I have the bunks positioned in line with the middle bunks from the trailer. My biggest concern is the fins clearing the frame the bunks are attached to on the lift. I have adjusted the bunks as high as possible for the existing legs and I have about 9.5 inches of clearance from the top of the bunks to the frame. Is that enough room for the fins to clear the frame? I could get extended legs - which I will likely do any way, but I'm chomping at the bit to finally get the boat in the water. I got the boat about 3 weeks ago and I've been waiting for the new lift to arrive. Thoughts?

9.5" sounds like a lot. I think I have far less spacing then that and not only do my fins clear, but in the case someone comes in too hot, I think my prop and rudder will clear as well.

Best is to sink it down further then you need before putting the boat over it then raise and see what your clearance is. at 9.5", even with wide bunk spacing, I imagine you have loads of room.

That sounds like plenty of room. My best idea is float the boat on gently and gradually raise feeling and looking for clearances on a calm lake day when water is lifting it up/down. When the lift is down and boat is going off you’ll have more clearance than 9.5” anyway
