Has anyone attempted to upgrade software via USB?

Our G21 came with Steering Assist but the software was never loaded. I have an upgrade on a Thumb Drive that the rep said I can plug into the USB port under the dash. The dealership said that I could potentially get locked out of the linc and would have to get the linc flashed at the dealership which is 2 hours away.

Has anyone done this on their own with success? I have step by step instructions to do the software upgrade.

I would have the dealer you purchased your boat from take care of this for you. Did they explain why it wasn’t done on delivery? Even though they are a couple of hours away it will be worth the time to get it done right.

I've done updates via USB on the LINC before. Very simple. Just follow the directions and you'll be fine.

Thanks Nautiquejeff. I’ll try this later this week. It was the Nautique 2018 photo boat. Thruster was probably there for pictures but no software added.

Easy peasy... directions walk you through the whole thing, had my computer challenged mother do it while the boat was in AZ and I was in CA

Where did you get the USB drive? My G23 is giving me an error that says it needs an upload fix for the Linc 2.0 system and I need to fix it ASAP.

Dealer can get you the software and may be able to email it too you. I took my dealer a new USB key, they downloaded the software on it and gave it back. Easy to do

For the most part, you stay with what you have unless you have a problem which can be addressed with a firmware update. I've only done one update and that was to fix a bug with the LINC Panoray and having only two rider profiles.
