My buddies 70# lab poked a couple holes in the vinyl. My 20# dog no problem.

Maybe we are all thinking of this as all or nothing. I think the point is the dog comes on the boat with us (and in our car even my car that I maintain as well as the G23) as needed. She is part of the family. I don’t take her out there for 4hr surf sessions and I don’t leave her in the car alone to tear up the interior. Are some of your saying you don’t ever let your dog on the boat?

Replacing the seadeck down the line may need to be factored into the equation. Can anyone here comment regarding a dogs effect on seadeck longevity, in addition to vinyl?

You are good dad and husband then. Me? Not so much. I love my 11.5 year old lab, but my wife and kids understand that she won't be going on the boat, with a goat, on a plane, or on a train. Ain't happening, period. I am way, way too anal-retentive. First time something gets jacked up, party is over. For me personality, why chance that...

LOL. Greatly appreciate the honesty. If you lived closer to me I would show my G23 and F90. They are both in immaculate (new) condition because I obsess over them. And...yes...it really bothers me when anything gets scratched or dirty so I live in that fear each time. (And yet the dog and other guests come along...some of those guests are way worse than my dog....)
