Personally, I wash and wax the boat for the owner. In exchange he lets me use it twice a year. No payments!

In all seriousness, as a forum troll for many years on multiple towboat forums I have seen/heard this conversation many times.
You are going to find people in both camps. Some folks absolutely hate the idea of debt and would never buy something they couldn't pay cash for. Totally reasonable.
You are going to find others that can get good interest rates and don't mind the idea of financing a very expensive boat knowing that they can afford the payments with low interest and probably sell it a few years down the road. Nothing wrong with that either.
In the end, it is whatever model suits your financial situation, goals, age, etc.
If I had stupid money where dropping 150K on a boat in cash didn't affect me at all, I would probably do that. However, I don't. On the other hand, I can get a great interest rate on my boat and a smoking deal that makes flipping relatively painless in a couple years and have no trouble or concern making payments so why not?
In the end, to each his own....

With this being my 3rd G23... my first two had minor cosmetic QaQc issues right off the bat. gel cracks, stitching issues, screws striped out, various odds and ends.
this 2019? Only thing I’ve been able to find so far is the need for a little more double sided tape for the heated seats switch. Extremely high QaQc in my opinion.2019 G23 450
2014 G23 550
2013 G23 450
2011 Malibu Wakesetter 247
2007 Yamaha AR210

All good guys.......never going to have a perfect world .......I have had 6 BMW' and they have all at some point have some issues whether it be mechanical or visual. But I get your point and obviously your frustration. I still think the majority of the new boats, that I have seen looked terrific......in my opinion of course. They have come a long way with mechanical, and visual. I hope you can still find some solitude enjoying those nice boats even though they are not up to your satisfaction. Again....I do appreciate your feedback, always nice to hear. D
