    Factory engine flush kit

    Hi All,

I'm curious, what does the factory engine flush kit look like? is it literally just the Perko flush kit? Does anyone have an image of their flush kit (either the option or coastal edition) that they can share?

    Thanks!

I don't have an image handy but on my 2017 G23 Coastal Edition , it is literally a female brass garden hose end fitting just on the outside of the engine divider then a hose which has an open and close 90 degree handle. Very simple system

Yes, simple but that's not the whole story, it goes from the back of the boat to shutoff (as mentioned above) by hose to a brass tee between the strainer and i believe the raw water pump. You gonna need that part...maybe nautiqueparts has it.

I am sure GMLIII will give you pics of everything you need.

Here is the stock factory flush kit on my G23 Coastal Edition. 1st picture shows the handle to turn the water flow on or off, Picture 2 is the female garden hose fitting just on the outside of the engine divider. Very simply system

Yes hook hose up to fitting . Fitting is at top of starboard stern locker , very easy access. I may need help from the experts to answer part two of your question . Since this is a Coastal model I don’t have raw water but fresh . I think only the manifolds have water but not entirely sure. This is s partially close system cooled with antifreeze and a heat exchanger . Don’t know if that helps you but I gave it a try .

The way the shop has done it was pretty ingenious... they plumed a fitting on the strainer bowl, hook up the hose to it, turn it on. and there you have it!

                  Thanks yall.

I'd love to see an image where it T's in, costal or not.

Yep, you gonna need the pic of where the t is relative to the strainer. GMLIII will find it tomorrow, and then it will be great to have all the pics in one thread. Let us know where you source the T.

I tried tracing the T handle hose and it ending up going below the Vdrive area in which I could not see the hose anymore. Somehow it has to T into strainer hose but I gave up . Nonetheless here is the part you need from Perko

No that is not it. That is what is used when you don't use the handle shut off. That one is more automated but less reliable. Not what Nautique uses.

You have to get low, lay on the floor of the boat, find the strainer, and take the picture from there.

The hoses on both sides of the drainer are different diameter hoses then the hose coming off the T handle . I’m guessing the T handle hose must T-bone into one of the strainer hoses at some point but I can’t find it due to difficult placement and it is pitch black in that area of the engine. Can’t take picture and hold flash light simultaneously. Sorry
