Need people for surfing behind G23 in AZ

My son and I are going to be at Lake Pleasant in Arizona Saturday through Thursday and need a third man or two. We had a couple friends back out at the last minute and need to find some new friends quick. We’ll be surfing, but happy to pull wakeboarders too. I’m 47 and my son is 16 and we’re both pretty laid back. Odd request, but worth a try.

Teach your son to drive? Both of my boys have been pulling me since they were 14 and 15. And yep they have the Nasbla/state license.

If AZ is anything like OH, you need a third at minimum. Law states have to have a spotter in the boat at all times! Its a bummer for me and my wife sometimes when no one is able to come out with us. Almost makes me ponder having kids, ALMOST.

My son is an excellent boat driver we just need, to Stevemo14’s point, the legal third person.

Same law here. We have pulled up to random houseboats to see if anyone wants to go for a ride or surf when our third doesn't show.

Even personal watercraft have to be legal three seaters, and include a spotter, to tow. There has to be a legal seat for driver, spotter and rider on the craft itself.

Shouldn’t a mirror or even the reverse camera work as the third spotter? Here n KS we’re legal with just a mirror if a spotter isn’t available.

I always assumed that all lakes required a spotter. I’m jealous for those who don’t need it. Thanks for the tips.
