My 2013 210 sometimes cranks music to full volume when accelerating and neither Linc or the Clarion head unit will respond to volume or mute commands. I have to kill the engine and battery to reset. Many times it will just do it again even after restart. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem and fought it a while...on both my 06 and 13 models. Replaced, cables, remotes, turned off auto volume and disconnected from Linc. Still had the same issue. I settled on the problem being the Clarion head unit. Switched out to JL MM50 with the MMR40 remote.... no problems since, but only 4 months into the switch.

Not plug in play at all, and no longer running through Linc(possible???). It took me a few go rounds with crutchfield b/c they did not have the correct cables an not familiar with it really. Should have went directly through JL.
I tried to set up my own NMEA network so I could have two MMR 40 remotes, but that did not work so I settled with getting the JL cable to wire the single MMR 4O remote at the helm. Will be insalling the standard transom remote at a later date.

Screenshots / pics below. The cable needs power also, I tied into the same power cable that goes to head unit. The other two wires go to the same ground wire. This will allow you to connect the MMR 40 and you will have connections for two other remotes. Google JL support number, you will not find it on there website

THANK YOU!!! I had a couple stereo-inclined buddies mess with the settings and reset the Clarion over the holiday but same issue came back up so I guess I will have to replace the head unit. I just purchased this boat so I am gonna talk to the dealer tomorrow to find a solution. Problem is they are 350 miles from me so I can’t just take it in. Shame on me for not turning the stereo on during the test drive I guess.

I had similar issues w/our 2012 210. The stereo randomly went to max volume while surfing. I wasn't manually accelerating, but was using the cruise so it might have been adjusting slightly. I tried a few things including turning off auto volume and disconnecting the stern remote to no avail. This happened maybe 5 times throughout the summer. My dealer suspected it was a bad cable from the head unit to the link. They replaced this cable in the off season and it has not happened since (about 4 yrs). I also had NSS installed that off season which required a software update; I am not convinced it was not the software update that fixed the problem.
