2016/2017 and newer G23 wakeboard wake.

Anyone have experience riding pre and post 2017 G23 wakeboard wakes? I know the hull changes (2016?) where to improve surfing. But I had a rep tell me the wakeboard wake developed a better lip as well. I enjoy my 2013 G23, but wish it had a better lip, closer to the G21. Is there a noticeable wakeboard wake difference in the newer G23s? Thx.

I’ve owned a 2013, 2017, and 2018 G23 and have ridden behind every year in between. There is no appreciable difference in the wakeboard wake between years.

I find the newer hulls to have a bit more lip at the top. It's not a huge difference, but I can certainly notice it.

I have spent time on 16-19 and there is no wave difference. If anything, I would say our '16 has more lip than others - so it is probably just a matter of how boats are set up and riding.
