“Knock sensor see dealer” warning. Can I reset it?

I recently had the warning for “knock sensor see dealer” show up on my 2007 SANTE. After doing some research I realized I used Teflon tape on both sensor when putting them back in this summer. I removed the tape on both sensors but it is still going off. I read that warning had to be “reset” or it would continue to show up? Is there a way I can do that myself? Or do I need to take it in to the dealer?

Could be actual knock, I'd see a dealer. Not worth hurting the motor.

I read on another forum that it will continue to throw the code until it is reset. Is that not accurate?
