Slalom on Pro Air with TWC hull

Need some help here. When I bought this boat I was under the impression it was the same boat at the sport nautique. WHOOPS, apparently I didn't realize how much difference that one little pro word meant. They looked identical enough to me at the time.

while I'm still very much a beginner slalom skier, I'm running the course more and have not been happy when I'm using my own boat. Is there anything I can do? Would changing props make a significant difference to matter? I was looking at the acme 422, I have an oj 4 blade prop.

Maybe I'm making too much of a big deal out of it. But a lot on here seem to think this hull is pretty garbage for slalom and not much better for wakeboarding. Also reading quite a bit of conflicting information. I read one person say the hull was marketed to perform no differently than the tsc after reaching speeds of 25mph. Others say it will always produce a steep wake and the tsc is much better. Maybe some experience from those that have owned this hull would help.

    thanks

A prop won’t help unless you think you are under powered and pulling the boat around. The pro air and the sport hull are similar. Neither hull is deeper than the other. The pro air has a large chine on each side molded into the bottom of the boat. This made the nose of the boat ride higher and helped push the stern down. You can combat this by putting a little weight in the ski locker. Either way, Sport or Pro Air, I grew up being taught how to three-event behind a sport Nautique. As I progressed I transitioned into ski Nautiques. Today I ski behind a 200. The reality is, the Sport wake wasn’t great for three-event skiing. BUT, I don’t think you would be a whole lot happier with the Sport wake. If slalom is your getaway, Ski Nautique is where it’s at. That being said, throw a little weight into the center ski locker and that will help you.
