Dawn Surfing with LED lighting and Wave Light

Here is the video to back up my pictures I posted under Gear . Before any of the Planet Nautique experts bash this video please bash for reasons other than the time of day for the shoot . We did our research and we were well within the legal limits in the State of Virginia .

Love it! And yes, you are within the legal limits in VA. We used to do that quite a bit too, but we didn't have that board! Love it!

My only suggestion would be a glow stick or two on the rider.

Actually Jeff on next shoot rider will be wearing a full reflective white film suit . Will be really cool . We have posted this on many sites and the first topic everyone wants to pounce on is timing of the shoot . We have done our research and even have a copy of the Virginia law on the boat in case we get pulled over during the shoot.

Saw that posted up on Instagram. Nice work.

I had a Ronix Parks Illuminati for a long time. Nothing wrong with a little pre-dawn or late night surf sessions under a full moon .

Awesome video! Looks like a blast. What did you use for the light on the board?

This was a old generation one board we no longer used. My son ordered those stick on led light strips from China on Ebay then used a hot glue gun for a strong bond around the board. He then used heavy duty Velco to secure the back wave light. In front of the back wave light was a small waterproof plastic box holding the battery. For both lights, the battery had about 15 minutes of use before it would run out of juice. This is a homemade lighted board

Not to steal any thunder, but it doesn't seem the OP is out to make a buck off this either, but check out wakesnwaves website. I don't have any affiliation, but it's a local guy here in the DFW market that has taken this idea and is hand shaping boards with LEDs and a charging port built in. They happen to be very good boards outside of the novelty of the lights.

I will check out. Yeah this is a couple of times event for videos. Between the Chinese led lights and gen one board we probably have $120.00 in the board which included the full white reflective body suit from China which will probably fall apart after one to two sessions.

                        Cool stuff on wakenwaves

Honestly people are losers. Why do they even care?

I think that is hands down the coolest wake surfing videos I have seen. I cant wait to show my kids because I want them to try more water sports.

Yeah I just wanted to throw that out there from the get go to all the Haters, who trying to be experts on whether it was legal. As I stated we did our homework and we are legal in ever regard as to the timing of our filming in the state of Virginia. We had the ballasts filled and were waitng in the cove until 29 minutes before sunrise to begin surfing. 30 minutes and longer before sunrise is illegal in Virginia. We will post a new twist next week.
