Pcm tranny is ATF Dextron 3 and the v-drive is SAE-50 synthetic.
The last one is not easily available in EU.

Its fairly hard to find here too, I changed mine out last season....I only know of 2 places that sell it, NautiqueParts is one of them. Will put link below so you can be sure to get the right kind. Not sure if they ship to your area or not.

beats out all the other oils to include Royal Purple, Amsoil, Kendall, and all the other premium brands. And no, they are not all equal. There’s a vast disparity in how oils perform and protect engine components.

it isn’t Dexos Gen2 yet because of timing... it missed a submission timeline by when it was developed. It will take another year to get through those certifications, but it will.

It withstands heat better than the others, has better viscosity, better film strength over moving parts and has superior chemical analysis compared to the others.... as tested in THOSE tests that guy did. I learned a lot watching those.... and I appreciate independent testing... even if it’s not 100% perfect. I don’t think that guy had an ax to grind. If new information and observations send folks into a rage... I’m not the problem, it’s them.

What was surprising to me is it beat out the perceived kings of oil: Amsoil, Mobile, Kendall, and Royal Purple... and it does it at approx 60% of the price or even less. That’s great news for us.

but as it pertains to this thread... it’s Dex2 certifications (Penzoil Ultra Plat) should be here in a year or so. I hope the price doesn’t go up.

The service advisory says use Dexos Gen 2 5w-30. On other boat forums and ball of spray many posts say this means use "Dexos2 5w30" not "Dexos 1, Gen 2 5w30 oil." Which is it? "Dexos Gen 2" is not specific enough given the confusing labels GM places on these oil designations. Does anyone know for sure?

I just bought Dexos 1, Gen 2 Royal Purple, 5w 30, but I want to be sure I am using the recommended oil before I put it in the boat.

Yes. Any 6L engine, no matter how old.

Dexos 1 / Gen 2 is the correct oil. In PCM's latest technical specs, that's what it lists.

Jeff, solid information. Thanks. I'll also note that Royal Purple did not used to have any GM certification, but now that I know RP has a Dexos 1 Gen 2 5w-30 and that is what PCM recommends that gives me some comfort.

NautiqueJeff Anyone have any concerns running the 5w30 in the Arizona desert? Lake havasu out here gets 120 and the water is in the upper 80s. 15w40 still seems like a better fit for these extreme temps even though the bulletin says “all temperatures”.. 2013 g23 with zr450

Side note I’ve been to oreilly 3 times going back and forth exchanging 15w40 with 5w30 and back again lol. Sun country marine told me 15w40 but he wasn’t the service rep.

Just had an oil change at a Nautique Dealer and the invoice says they used 25w-40 in (02' Excalibur 330) as per this advisory should 15w-40. What difficulties could this cause and would you go back to the dealer? I plan on doing the oil changes by myself but just purchased this boat and needed a quick one done to get me out on the lake, while I was working.

Why I trust nobody but me changing mine-but me. I know, all will say that "nobody does this anymore." I'm a redneck gear-head, but I'll never have oil-born issues, (improper oil, too much, too little, spillage, etc.)

I do all of mine as well. I wonder why they would use such a heavy oil, especially up in Canada. I would request that they change it and use the correct oil.
