Also not sure the 04 has ballast. You could install a pretty sweet system though.

ya good call. trailer, transport, upgrades= way out of budget. what do you guys think of this centurion? sorry to drag this thread on, cant seem to find a 210, 211, 220 in the mountain west.

        MILJACK,
either of these close? Or has to be the 07?

Last link did not pull up anything on my computer, what is it?

That 08 Centurion "Falcon V Air Warrior" looked to be in pretty good shape and having a single mechanic for its lifetime that you can talk to seems like a pro. Course you would still need to see the boat in person as well as water test it. This particular hull is not a surf specific boat like the Enzo and Avy, it was more of a crossover boat capable of putting out a good ski wake. It will surf if weighted right but wanted to make sure you knew it was not the Avalanche or Enzo hull (not sure of the exact differences but have seen this boat talked about on another forum). No tower speakers obviously, tho usually the factory wiring harness includes having tower speakers pre-wired so not that hard to add tower speakers if you run the new speaker wires down to the harness.... but you would also need an amp, etc so that could be a couple grand pretty easy if you DIY depending on how nice a system you want.

Your budget and your personnel needs puts the right Nautique just out of your budget . A nautique 220 is the perfect ticket here , but most will be in the 35-39k range for a well maintained one at this time of year.

Quite honestly with your budget and requirements the perfect boat would be a Centurion Avalanche . It will hit your price point and size factor perfectly , also give you one of the best surfwakes on the market that started it all. I am in complete disagreement with some of the above posters , There is no way an sv211 is the right boat for you and neither is a 226. The 226 doesn’t surf well at all and an SV 211 is really tight inside. It has has an 83inch beam and you’ll need sacs floating around in the open that eat up space and will be completely annoying.

A 220 or a 210 from 07 and up is the ticket but again those will run 35k ish on the low end.

the Falcon V Air warrior will have plenty of space , but it’s wakes are more of a “crossover “ style , so the surf wake is ok , wakeboard wake is ok and ski wake is ok. The Avalanche will surf much better. And have more room.

i thinik im going to bump our budget up a bit. we are still daily searching the local ads for 220, avalanche, 210, 226, 22ve? (in that order of preference?). but because Im a first time buyer I dont want to buy a boat long distance.

SPEAKING OF FALCON AIR swatguy, one just came up on the ads in my town.
what are the falcon air and cyclone c4 that i keep seeing? does the cyclone c4 have that deep v hull?

The Cyclone is the “ baby Avalanche. It shares same hull “with deeper v design and is more primary wakeboarding and wakesurfing. The Falcon V Air warrior is just a touch Flatter hull to allow that for a flatter ski wake . The Cycllone is 20ft and change , the Falcon V is 21ft and change. The Avalanche is 22 and change.

Unsure what the seller would come down to. But I think this is a good boat for you. If I would consider a Centurion, this would be a top pick for me. 2008 Centurion Enzo SV24 8.1

No link so hard to see the details on whether potentially good deals, they all seem priced about right. The SV230/enzo is capable of excellent surf/wakeboard when weighted right, so is the Avalanche. That C4 Cyclone is a 21ft, the baby Avy, but still has the 93" beam....anyway it still has the hull that matters. Without seeing condition, the 07 looks like the best deal to me. All these above boats will hold value very well in this economy. Frankly you are going to get the best deals in the off season, just make sure that somehow the boat is still lake tested even if you gotta re-winterize or at least have a mechanic put it on a hose to run it.....tho there are things you cannot tell unless you test drive the boat and put it under load.

This thread may be worth reading to you: (lots of info over there on those boats)
                          http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.p...rn-surf-boats/

I am not as schooled on the older Nautique's, I just know they are well made and the right models have great surf hulls. They also seem fairly priced, but Swatguy knows much more than I do about these boats. My guess out of those options is the 2008 210 TE would be the best fit for what you are looking for.
