    2006 SV-211 TE ballast question

Hey Everyone! We picked a 2006 SV-211 TE this summer and for some reason the belly ballast seems to fill up on its own when cruising at lower speeds.
I’ve taken a look in the ski locker and see a shutoff valve. Is that for the belly tank possibily? I’ve been looking for specific schematics online but i’m Having a hard time tracking it down for this boat. You guys seem to have a ton of experience, any ideas on why i’m Filling up? Thanks everyone!

That valve is the sure fire way to keep it from filling up. If you search here on the forums you should find some reading on these issues. Usually though it’s the 2005 and older systems that have these problems. Do you have reversible pumps? I do on my 2006. I believe it was the first year they had them. In that case you might only need a new impeller in your pump.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. I’ll have to take a look at what pump it is. I’ve never had a boat this technical, and i’ve got a lot to learn. Thanks so much for your help.

If you have reversible pumps they will be on the starboard wall of your engine compartment. But again you can always shut that valve in your ski locker if you have to.
