We got an unseasonably hot snap and got out for what is likely our last trip of the season yesterday. Between baseball, softball, and football, there's never enough boat time, but we had a fun summer. I'm so happy with the improvements our daughter (9 yo) made this summer. And I'm thrilled that she always wants to ski, even if the water is cold! Our son is a wimp and thought the water was too cold.

Unfortunately, I got some stitches from a skin procedure on Friday (wear your sunscreen!), so I had to stay out of the water, but I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd see my wife in a MN lake on 9/30!

Saturday was it for us, they pulled the dock sunday and we had our first flurries last night. What a great season!

That backdrop has to be Photoshopped, BasaltRMK!

No, sir MN Ryan - we're at peak colors up here as we speak! That pic doesn't even do it justice, the aspens and scrub oak are popping. But sadly the water temp and level is dropping rapidly, and the forest service can't seem to be capable of coordination so even though the AND inspectors and gates are active through the end of September, the camp host / parking company has pulled the dock at the launch. The boat's up at the house with a heater in it, it gets winterized this week then off to covered storage for the winter this weekend :'(

Congrats on the family crushing it this year, so great to both have fun and see progress.

Yeah, winter's on it's way - you can already feel it. Time to winterize those sleds!

LOL, we were in the 90s this weekend (not normal at all), but this Saturday is suppose to be in the 50s. I'd like to get out again, but I know I won't. Planning on tackling the trailer bearings this weekend and having it winterized next week.

That smells like Colorado, my growing up State, nothing much says mountains like the Rockies. Cool shot BasaltRMK, that one needs to go on the wall.
We have a few more runs left once we get past the 50's and rain, but it will be in seal suits through October until we can't feel our feet.
Always hard to throw in the towel for the Season MN Ryan, good Summer memories this round for sure, 40 trips logged to the lake(s) this year...

Wow, 90s, huh? Supposed to get down to 29 this Wednesday night. We'd still launch without the dock, but I've got to finish splitting wood and getting ready for winter before we jet down to Kaua'i for a couple of weeks. I know, poor me.

Sounds like you've got a full plate shuttling the rugrats around. I personally enjoy the boat winterization process, it's work but there's a certain zen to it, and I enjoy the changing of the seasons. I just replaced brake pads and fluid on the trailer, and the winterization of the 2020+ engines is so simple that I don't have a ton left on the list. But will review bturner's list as always .

Oh, and so I don't totally hijack this thread, here's another fun pic - the old man (me) trying to still get after it last month...
