Hey all! Have 2004 210 SANTE, interested in moving up to something 2014+ (used), 21-22 ft. Order of priorities: wakesurf, tubing. Could see kids wakeboard in coming years. My current 210 surf wake (added 750's in rear) has decent height and push however very small pocket which is a bit close to back platform.

G21 looks awesome, however very expensive. Don't really need extra storage and would have to upgrade 4500 lb boat lift. Seems like overkill for me and family?

Always thought SANTE 210 was the all around multi sport athlete, however GS 22 literature seems to paint it as the best multi use option. Is this true?

Important to me: great and easy to ride surf wake (step up from current ride), very good at all -surf/tube/wakeboard, solid handling when pulling tubers (current boat tends to have very quick bursts of engine rev/prop slip when pulling multiple tubes and turning).

Let's assume SANTE 210 and GS22 have maxed out ballast, including add ons post factory.

Would appreciate comparison on these two options, including relative scale on how much better or worse in certain areas. Also are there significant differences starting in 2014 I should be aware of (hull, NSS capabilities, other improvements)?

Agreed. I love my 200 Sport Nautique but it's more crossover to slalom than anything close to a surf boat. If slalom is not in the picture the 210 is hard to beat.

I have a 08 210 since new its the perfect do all boat that is still big enough to fit 10 peeps. Look for a 07 or newer.

I can’t comment on the GS22 but I’ve surfed the OG 210 Hull with about 3,000lbs of ballast and the newer (2010 in this case) 210 hull with factory ballast plus piggyback. The newer 210 surfs way better. The pocket is bigger. The wave is taller. The wave is longer. It’s just better in every respect at surf. IMHO, it’s not as good at wakeboarding wake but it’s not a huge step down. It just doesn’t have that Nautique vertical ramp and it’s a little wider than I like. It’s still very good. The G21 is huge step up in both surf and wakeboard wake, even over the newer 210. If budget isn’t a constraint that’s how I would go. You’ll probably really like the newer 210 though. And again, it’s not that I dislike the GS22. I just don’t have experience with it.

Think I heard it changed in 14 as well...or was that when NSS was added? Perhaps hull is same since 07 and 14 is just when NSS added? Clearly confused. Thanks!

We love our ‘19 GS22 but we also ski every time we go out. For us it is the perfect balance of ski/surf and ability to take others with us. We have the pro ballast option with 350lbs of leadwake spread through the boat. Probably going to switch the bags to the wakemakers kit this winter and remove 200lbs of leadwake.

Feel free to PM me. I had an 2005 210 for 5 years which was an amazing boat and we just upgraded to a 2019 GS20. Happy to share with you my experience so far. To sum it up.... I wish I had bought a GS20 in 2017. We went to the dealer to buy a 210 as I love them, but IMO the GS20 was better all around for us. Subfloor ballast is amazing and as you know the only down fall to the OG210 is there is no space/storage. I can’t get over how much space there is with the sub floor ballast. It surfs amazing. It skis amazing. So much better visibility. You won’t be disappointed.
