So...I own a 2014 G21 that I am selling. Have a big family and am choosing between the G23 and G25. Would love the size of the G25 but is the wake that much better on the G23? Would love some input!!!

I do not subscribe to the theory that the G25 is inferior to the G23. If all you want to do on the two boats is push the wakesurf or wake button on the Linc, fill 100% ballast and then go with factory settings then, yes, the G23 wake is better. The reality of the physics is the rear end of the G25 drafts flatter than the G23 because of the increased surface area so the production of wake or waves in factory setting is going to be different (flatter).
HOWEVER, understanding this also allows you to compensate for it. I believe the G25 can produce a G23 level wake with a bias of rear weight. That can be accomplished a number of ways:
-reduce belly ballast
-when running with a large crew skew passengers to rear
-plumb in bags or use lead bags
I had a G25 and now have a G23. In my G23 to maximize our wave and account for the fact that we normally only run with 4-6 people, I run 700lbs of lead. I place 150 in the bow, 200 starboard locker, 200 port locker and 150 under passenger by the subwoofer to couter prop rotation. If I were to go back to a G25, I would plumb 1100lb bags in each rear locker and depending on my normal passenger load experiment with lead bags midship and in the bow. If you consistently run with a larger enough crew you may not need the lead bags and may not need to completely fill the rear bags.
In summary, if you can get the G25 to "squat" like the G23 it should produce the same wake/wave. Its entirely possible with some experimenting. If you have a big family and like entertaining friends go with the G25.

I moved from a 2017 G23 to a 2019 G25 last year. I find the wakes to be pretty comparable to each other, at least for our purposes. I agree with Bevostein that most purists believe the stock ballast in the G23 is slightly better than the G25 but for us we love having the extra space for a big group of family and friends, not to mention we are on an extremely busy lake (Lake Lanier) so the bigger boat handles much better.
