Best looking Surf Gate they've produced by FAR!
Trailer brake option is kinda nice.
Few neat features for convenience, but nothing to really talk about.
And while this has nothing to do with boat performance it is something to pick on... Why 6.5" speakers instead of 8"!?! If you're going to build a boat from the ground up and throw high-end stereo components in... Why cheap out on smaller speakers when I have no doubt an 8" could have been placed there.
I'm guessing $280K MSRP... $220K retail.Jason

Looks like a pretty sweet boat to me. Like that they moved the ballast to open up the rear lockers and love the ballast fill times. Also like the design of the bow. Hate how high the dash sticks up, you will for sure need to be on the bolster to see over that thing. Still doesn't look as good as the G but a massive improvement over the M235. Will be interesting to see where it prices. I definitely wouldn't want to be one of the first owners.

Gonna be hard to see over that high dash with the bow up surfing attitude of the Malibu

I like the stern thruster controls on the throttle. That’s a great idea as long as you can disable it easily.

I have never been a fan of Malibu that's why I don't go the the MalibuCrew. First I don't like Indmar and there is something about Malibu that just cries out cover up . This is just another oversize, over priced surf ship. A lot of the Transformer accessories just look like problems in the future . My favorite part was the pop up ski pylon I would love to see somebody ski behind this behemoth.

It seems that in the videos, the bow does not ride as high as the smaller Malibu boats. That is also true of the 25 LSV, bow rise is not as severe as say the 21-22 foot versions.
Many weekend warrior surfers use too much wedge to get a huge short wave and horrible bow rise.

I don't understand why no one other than Malibu offers more than one set of board racks. Strapping extras over a bimini is clunky at best, and at least half the time we have at least 6 boards.
That being said, maybe the answer is we're a little old school and we still wakeboard.Last edited by jhiestand; 10-02-2019, 12:31 PM.'08 Super Air Nautique 210

Found a cached page from Idaho watersports on Google with an M240 listed for $273,516. The page has since been taken down. I'd have to guess that price is MSRP. Nice boat but doesn't look $100K nicer than Nautique or MC.

Mastercraft has offered quad racks for a few years now. They are vertical clamping racks that bolt in above the standard swivel clamping racks. MC also has a 4 board surf sleeve on the Bimini, so you can have 12 boards on a MC tower if you want. Most people don’t get the extra set of racks because of the 4 spots on the Bimini. That is probably why you haven’t seen them. I’d say only about 1 in 20 will get the additional racks option. I had them on one of my MC’s. They were really nice, but I haven’t ordered them since. I don’t need storage for more than 8 boards.
