Has anyone noticed using the online configurator, that the part of the hull that I’ll call the “snout” or the front center part of the hull, can only be had in white? Plus the green and red Paragon pictured in this thread also only have this area in white. Seems odd to me that this is really the only way it can be ordered? So it you wanted an all black boat, the “snout” area will be white? No bueno. PS - don’t shoot me for not knowing the technical term of this part of the hill.

I figured it out. Interestingly this lower front area of the exterior hull does change colors when you change the one of 6 “interior” deck options. Interesting place to put that option for an exterior “Hull” design, but its there. And no, black is not an option.

They will produce 200 units this year which is more than I was originally told.

I have read most of the opinions/complaints about the extra 100k and how they should have just released this as the standard G. My thinking about releasing the paragon along side the standard 2020 G series is simple. Nautique is a business and it sounds like the ceo, Bill Yeargin is a very smart guy.

If you create a boat in limited supply that is 100k more than your flagship(standard g23), it makes the G23 seem reasonably priced and continues to drive sales to the older hull design. This in turn gives them as much time as needed to tool up for major production of the newer"paragon" hull without having to completely retool the factory at once. A new hull design requires a lot of r&d and retooling. I am sure there is some R&D costs built into the price of the paragon as well. Inflate your price and your margins shift dramatically. From a press/hype perspective it gives the world something to talk about/oogle over/debate.

I would be willing to bet that in in 3 years, the paragon hull will take over for the G series and it will be released in little brother (21)and big brother(25) versions and the price will level out to be more in line with the standard G23. I would also be willing to bet that they will continue to offer a "paragon" level boat package from here on out to compete with all the companies that have offerings for the mega elite. why not sell a "luxury" boat for a crazy price if people will buy it? People buy Parvatis and they look like a bedazzled Affliction T-shirt, why wouldn't people purchase the Paragon? My bet is they will be pre booked for all 200 units by march.

From what I hear, both of those numbers are wrong. They'll sell as many as they can this model year, but this CALENDAR year they may not be able to produce more than about 50.

Has anyone thought about the impact to sales by the fact that at 7400 lbs plus now an almost mandatory triple axle trailer...fuel, gear, you're well north of 10k towing weight. Who's buying this that doesn't also own a lake house and never tows?

This was stated at the dealer sales meeting at callaway gardens. I have received all my information directly from a dealer who is attending the sales summit. I would imagine they will take orders past the 200 but i was told that is their 2020 goal.

On another note do you have any clue on average how many G23 are produced annually . I was just curious because I don’t know

they build about 1200 G23 & G25's combined.

Love the design , love the look. I just don’t see 100k worth of upgrades justifying that kind of
price increase for essentially the same class of boat. All those are minor tweaks so to speak.

Does the previous shift for wakeboarding like the Paragon does? Or is that just a driver thing switching the NSS?

Disagree, considering the # of people in the boat and the ballast is very likely full for Noah, the boat got up to speed and the wake shaped in a pretty quick turnaround considering.
What are you asking about a shift re: wakeboarding? There is no NSS plate or transering involved at wakeboard speeds. The wake naturally cleans up on the side the wakeboarder cuts due to boat pull. Watch any clip of wakeboarding....ever.
Also prop spray is on par with a fully weighted G series boat. Especially with weight in the rear which is where they have about 8 adults filming for the 'gram.

It did seem like it took quite a while for the wakeboarding wake to form up nice. Who knows how much additional weight they had in the already 7400# boat for that pro wakeboarder to ride.

These newer boats do seem to put out a much bigger rooster tail until they get up to about 20mph or so. I know my GS20 does. It may have to do with the NCRS.

In think the “shift”at the beginning was more throttle/driver line related because they knew he wasn’t gonna be throwing down til they got turned around. It’s a weird start from that dock. The pass isn’t long enough to get anything in til they do the turn around. Once he starts ripping the wake evens out nicely like it should.

There are plenty of lakes people use that do not allow houses and people tow to them. Then there are also people who use it at their lake house and local house and tow back and forth (some pretty far distances too.)

As mentioned in the megathread about towing a G23, you should not tow a G with a regular half ton pickup. You need a substantial machine to tow them and this paragon will be near 10,000 lbs on the trailer, getting to be a dangerous amount of weight to tow around if not done properly.

Either way, i hope they offer from the factory some sort of electric over hydraulic option for the brakes. I put one aftermarket on mine and it is awesome for towing. But most importantly its SAFE.
