As of now, Nautique has not publicly dedicated a verificatory production number for this unit.

In all seriousness though...…. They should have just thrown in all those options and just priced it at $290k...…
But even then, you still gotta add a trailer

$8070.00 for the wake sub option? Everything in that option list should be standard, even then I’m not seeing where the extra 100k in pricing came from. Seems ridiculous for sure.
Great looking boat, just way off on price point.2009 Super Air Nautique 210 TE

ffs 265k and it doesn't come with a heater! It just feels like gouging at this point.
The boat looks amazing, the fit and finishes appear fantastic and are what I would dream for my boat. However, it's a massive turn off to see all that work put into a top of the line boat that less than 200 people will get to enjoy. Many of those small details seem like they could have been made available for the standard G series. I very much hope that in future years they are...

All comments about the high price and lack of value I think are missing the point. While we all agree the price is very high. We must also remember that Nautique is a BUSINESS. That means they are not a charity existing to make each and every one of our dreams come true. As a business they have introduced a new "high-end" boat and have priced it very high because: 1) They don't want to crater their existing G23 franchise, one which is very profitability selling all the boats they can build. 2) They almost certainly lack significant manufacturing capacity for the Paragon compared to the G23. Therefore pricing it lower would be a poor business decision because they would be unable to satisfy demand. 3) There are many new technologies in this new boat that will become more cost effective as production volume increases. Much of this new technology will almost certainly trickle down into the standard G23 over time. This is a good thing! 4) Finally, they can always discount the price if demand and supply are imbalanced. This is always preferable to attempting to raise the price later because they priced it too low and were unable to meet demand.

I spent a lot of time is this boat on and off the water and as Ferris once said, "It is so choice, if you have the means I highly recommend one".

so, while you are correct about everything you said, there is another side to that coin. The other side is that the faithful G customers that want to upgrade their boat, are going to be stuck with a design that is VERY “long in the tooth” at this point. They will feel a little betrayed that Nautique didn’t feel like pushing the design forward on the current boat, and instead only gave them a choice that is a full 50% more expensive, and well above the price of all other choices.
So they are stuck with three choices-
1- buy another boat that was designed nearly a decade ago, and is no longer superior to all of its competition, and feels/looks/performs/smells/tastes just like the boat they replaced.
2- spend 100k more for a boat that should have replaced the current G23.
3- buy another brand that performs just as well, but doesn’t have an ugly telescoping tower (which is definitely kinda cool), and no flip out lawn chairs on the back (Unless they go MC)
just because the “business” can do something, doesn’t always necessarily mean they should. It is certainly likely that this boat will be just as much of a failure as Pavati and the Malibu M235 have been. If it is, they will sell 30 of them. We don’t need to further discuss if that number will be 49 or 200.
At the same time, who knows, maybe they will sell a bunch of them....... until we hit the impending recession.Last edited by Wayward; 10-10-2019, 02:08 PM.

Yeah Wayward ....see Jeff's comment. Stick that in your peace pipe and smoke it. I kid...I kid. We can all discuss all the numbers we want on here. Some of those guessing questions will be answered in a year or so.

What Nautique is doing isn’t new with the Paragon. It’s common in the automotive world. Take Lamborghini for instance. Once every few years they produce a car that is based off of the existing flagship platform. With Less weight, more aggressive design, slightly more power, and a big premium price tag that also limits the numbers produced and sold.
And they always sell out. There are enough buyers in the category that look at an additional $100k as a rounding error to their net worth. I think what Nautique did was reasonable. i also believe at some point a lot of the cutting edge changes will start to make their way into future “standard” models. It’s what Lambo has done.

I get it, and I know what their goal was. But there are downsides to that kind of pricing behavior. Same reason why MC lost a lot of their following back when they tried out the same attitude. Or another example is what ford has done with the GT. Ford more than doubled price on the car, and then limited the production on the car, and it didn’t end up coming close to the production limit. It’s a great example of this strategy. Ford even tried to drag out release, and make it seem more exclusive, as well as doing everything possible to make it seem like it was under super high demand....... but it wasn’t, isn’t, and probably won’t be. But they will sell a bunch. It just won’t be like the first gen. Same with the G23 and the paragon.
but to be fair...... I’m obviously just spitballing. I definitely can’t say you guys would be wrong. Maybe I’m just mad because I don’t see the value in it? I’d take a regular G and save the 75-100k. It’s just not worth that difference in my opinion.
If if there was some sort of gamechanging or revolutionary feature that came along with it, it might have been a different story.
