    2018 Supra SA450 vs 2019 GS22

New to boating and want a multi purpose boat for surfing, tubing, skiing, wakeboarding.
What is a better buy a 2018 Fully loaded Supra SA 450 with 40ish hours for $95K or a new 2019 GS22 loaded for $105K. And why?

Nautique for just the resale value alone

Supra really stepped up their game in 2018 and their boats are getting better each year (For surf wave, I like the 2018 SL boats a lot). I have several friends with Supra's and they need a pretty good amount of weight over stock for a great surf wave, I have surfed behind this exact model and it needed over 4k lbs of ballast for a great surf wave. Being that you are looking for a crossover boat tho, sounds like surf wave is not the biggest thing to you. Skiing will certainly not be comfortable behind a Supra. Their power tower sure is nice and was a game changer for 2018.

I have never been behind a GS but from everything out there about that model, it will do most things well which sounds like what you are looking for.
Only other true "crossover" boat that I know of that will do all 4 things you mentioned well....is the Centurion FI series, also came out in 2018. Pricing would be in similar ballpark

I think the fit/finish and resale value will easily go to Nautique and for the 10k difference in price IMO this comparison would go to Nautique without a doubt. My guess is that in 3yrs, there will be a bigger difference than 10k in value between the 2. You will also have a longer warranty with Nautique and be the 1st owner instead of the 2nd.

One other thing to note, 1 thing that I HATE about the Supra boats is the Raptor engines. They sound LOUD when compared to the PCM engines and they have had knock sensor and other issues (2018 was a bad year for that). When surfing at 3600-3800rpm in a Supra with the Raptor you could hardly have a normal conversation in the cabin area of the boat. Even with FAE pipe it just seems that engine and gear noise is way louder than it should be.

Best thing to do tho is to demo them both and decide for yourself

I’ve had a GS and was on a 2019 SA last weekend. The SA offers some cool stuff for sure, but surf wave, packaging, storage and RE-Sale, it’s Nautique. And yes the PCM is quieter.
