I just sent Townsend a not for clarification. I'm kind of thinking the free shipping might not apply as this will be a custom order but we'll see. Thanks for the suggestion through.

Just checked with Townsend on this as I was about to place the order. Still no joy. Townsend is saying there's no free shipping, at least not on my order. This was my second time at the well so I'm thinking it may have to do with being a custom made part and all.....

Once we're through the holidays I think I'm going to start another one of these that's aimed at just discounts in general. Seems like there' s always a holiday sale somewhere so maybe we can get something in place that's ongoing to make everyone aware of anything that might make this hobby a bit less expensive.

I have used this stuff exclusively since I found out about it. It works and smells and looks exactly like Boat Bling Hot sauce. 4 gallons for $75 might last a guy all season. It usually is quite a bit more than that.
Hoping you’re right about how good this stuff is. I just received my order. Can’t wait to try it. Seems like a really sweet deal. I’m a huge fan of hot sauce. I just hate how much it costs.

Yeah it does seem like a good deal vs a gallon of Hot Sauce running around $42.00 from Amazon.

They are all 'impact vests' which is what used to be called competition vests. Another way of saying it isn't coast guard approved. At first I did not realize it was not CG approved.

Sorry, I didn't look closely at the ad. All I'm really doing here is just posting them up for people to see....

Yeah some people like them, some don't at all. I slalom and surf with a comp vest but I'm a strong swimmer, very comfortable in the water and I'm not out there trying to kill it, just pretty much going along for the ride. I know some people are toxic on these vests and that's fine too, I would never push one on someone and guests always get a CG vest when on my boat. I've heard the stories, read the material and understand the risks associated with these vests. If you're not comfortable in the water, not a strong swimmer or are out there hitting it hard I would highly recommend buying and using only a CG vest.

Not to change the theme of this thread but I love my Stokes Nitro comp vest, in my opinion it is the most comfortable vest on the makret today.

So I guess the form fitting aspect is what I like about my OL vest so much. Some OL vests will provide better flotation than others and some come close to CG vest on flotation (but there's more than flotation that goes into a CG rating). So there's that possibility as well but what I don't like about most CG vests is that most ride up on you or are bulky. I know there's a lot of better CG options out there these days but finding that one for you're body type is challenging.
