Storing the boat with tower folded

I知 building a structure to protect my 2019 SAN 230 and considering designing it with the tower folded to reduce the height.

I知 guessing there is a spring mechanism to counter the weight of the tower. Do those have a tendency to fail if they are stored long term under load (folded). If so, are they easy/cheap to replace?

You'll be just fine. The tower has gas-springs in it to counter the weight of it while lowering. There is no tendency to fail any more than any other gas-spring.

Like Charles said you will be fine, I store mine year round for the last couple of year with the tower down and haven't had any problems.

You can have your dealer replace the standard shocks in the tower with stronger shocks to help. They did this on mine due to the weight of the Rev 10痴. Have never had a problem and I store mine tower down with a tower down cover on it.
