Hi all,
I recently purchased a 79 Nautique that I am refinishing, my question relates to the vents on the bow, I am considering getting rid of them. Im shooting for a clean look and took off the upper rail which makes the boat look much better, added a bow roller and split the lights. Going with choicks on the bow rail rather than cleats. So don’t really want the vents sticking up above the profile. I have seen a few pictures of guys that glassed over then which looks good. I am wondering how necessary they are from a safety and performance point of view. I’m considering putting flat vent covers over them and a inline blower but that seems like overkill. Please share your thoughts and experience.
thanks
