    Boat property tax assessment reduced!

I just finished a phone call with my county tax accessor. They had the value of my boat in excess of what I paid for the boat last year. After a short conversations they lowered my taxes over $100. If you bought a new boat last year and you pay property tax on it you might want to see how they have valued the boat, you might be paying too much. It's worth a phone call.

Good advice. Also, your bill should be reduced every year as the boat value decreases.

I just mailed off my check.

        Tax

My 90 Sport is finally down to $54. Cali stops the tax when the blue book drops below $3500 I think!

Wow..... property tax on a boat..... unreal. We only pay sales tax on dealer boats here. Private party used, you only pay on the trailer. I think our registration is like $30 every two years for the sticker.

No sales tax or "unsecured property" tax here in Oregon. Just the licensing fee. We do have a 9% state income tax on every dollar we make... Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
