Paragon - A History of Perfection

These days, we all think of a Paragon as a great surf and wakeboard boat, but do you know the origin of the Paragon name, as it relates to Nautique history?

It is an attempt at perfection by Nautique, and it all started in 1993.





There were eleven total Ski Nautique Paragons made between the years 1993 and 1997. Ten of them were Hunter Green, and one was made in Wineberry, at the request of Ken Meloon.

The wineberry Paragon was owned by a member on here and over at CCF, "Quinner" My apologies for sticking my nose into his business on here. He sold it some time ago. I think it sold again in 2018. I've seen a few for sale though the years, some pretty reasonable, some the owner is overly proud of what he has. I could be way off here, but I am thinking asking is sometimes in the 40s with selling in the 30s.

Incredible boat. Is the windshield frame wood or is it plated like the gunnels?

The wineberry one is currently owned by Bob Bense, the owner of Superior Boat Repair and Sales in Rancho Cordova, Ca. It’s pretty impressive.

Mark, I did hear that is where it ended up. Spent 11 years with that boat, definitely attracted quite a bit of attention and the cool factor of being 1 of 1 was pretty awesome
Back in 93' it was about double what you would expect to pay for a 93' SN, seems they continued that theme with the Paragon Ballast Ship, lol, numbers are just 5 times greater today, ugh.

Longhorn, pretty sure windshield was a true wood frame, the teak floors were my favorite though, so easy to clean.

First time a slalomed behind a stock 93' was shocked how much better the slalom wake was compared to the Paragon, all that wood bling did no favors to the wake quality, lol
