I believe the boats you're talking about are the CSX 220 and the CSX 265. I don't believe the 220 was available in twins but the 265 was for sure. Both are very cool and difficult to find a good deal on unless they've been trashed. The only cheap ones I've ever seen were from Florid and were saltwater boats that were used hard and showed it.
1967 Correct Craft Mustang. I got it for free but it needs so much work I think I payed too much . So far new stringers, 351w and 1.23 trans, floor, top deck redone, Still under way repair spider cracks [ a LOT of them] and refinish the lower hull , complete interior and rebuild the trailer. There is a thread on CorrectCraftFan named Stringers that shows all the details.

Good guess on the MC CSX265, but that isn’t the one.
Not really sure if it can be classified as a winter project as it’s 80 degrees here in Florida, but pulled the boat for its first oil change and decided to give the teak platform a cleaning and brightening. It’s still drying, but will be putting the teak oil on tomorrow once it’s dry.
The Starbright 3 pack does a bang up job cleaning and brightening. Can’t wait to see what it looks like after a couple coats of oil.
Will also be pulling the prop to replace and take the current one into the shop to get repaired and have as a spare.
Going to be finally adding the logos back on the sides. Decided to update to the new grey Chromax ones and follow the run rail. Hopefully people will stop asking what boat it is.
Finally going to be adding the on board charger I picked up from West Marine for 60% off on Black Friday weekend deals.
Lastly, I am going to add the full height engine separators I bought earlier this year that are made out of 3/4” HDPE in lieu of 1/2”.
Getting the boat ready for spring. Includes getting my new GoPro working with the boat. Have a 2019 GS 22 the Linc screen recognizes the camera but does not connect when I enter the PW. Any experience out there with the GoPro?
Depending on what go pro you are working with you may need a dealer to do a software upgrade flash to your boats computer. When I got my 2018 G21 last season it wasn't working....they did a software flash and BINGO....works great now.
Jeff, I just recently started looking for a Fish Nautique and so of course I've been scouring the internet and came across Planet Nautique. It was nice to find out you're on Lake Norman as I'm right down the road on Lake Murray. I'd like the opportunity to chat with you sometime with the hopes that you could educate me a little more on the FN. And...are you still open to possibly selling your "winter project"? Thanks! -Tim
Happy to chat anytime. That boat was sold less than a week ago to another member of this site who also happens to be here on Lake Norman. I still have the first twin-engine Fish Nautique ever built though (the boat I just sold was the second).
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!
I cleaned the tubes today with StarBrite cleaner. It didn't turn out too bad. The aluminum of the rails has been polished (no photos) but need to be painted. I will probably install the new wiring and 3/4" pressure treated plywood tomorrow if the weather cooperates. I bought 80 mil vinyl flooring to install once it is warm enough for the glue to cure.
My project is similar to Jeff’s...... similar in the way that it is a reconditioning of a very rare twin engine boat that was built by a wake/ski boat company but isn’t a wake/ski boat. More to come soon. The boat will arrive at my shop next week. It’s getting a full restoration as needed (it’s not super old, so a lot of it just needs elbow grease. Some pretty major gel work though), also a repower with 2 new complete 2020 engines, and new electronics/gauges/stereo.
feel free to guess the boat
will reveal soon.
