Black-Bottom Boat Experiences

I'm having a rust spot repaired on my trailer...and I'm replacing bunk carpet (did that last night) and wheel bearings this weekend. I looked at hull yesterday and there are scuffs from 15+ years of loading and unloading. We launch every time. As much as I try not to power load or unload, water level dictates this towards the end of the season. Years ago, I'd be under there working on the scuffs. Now, im not so interested because 1) my anality is 10% better than years before 2) they will come back 3) you can rarely see them unless you look really close when it is on the trailer.

I'm more annoyed the bunk carpet becomes stiff after a few years. This is the second time I'm replacing the carpet.

So this is a dumb question and off topic but when you hang a boat like Ski Dave has in the picture from only the middle like that, is there any issues with the boat tipping from side to side and/or flipping over? I always cringe when I see those pictures but I am uneducated about how to lift a boat by the rings.

I dropped it off yesterday and told the guy that 2nd to my family, that boat is the most valued thing in my life. He got it.

I stopped by after work to get the bunks and looked at it hanging. I felt better seeing it than I did all day wondering.

They don't have good blocking, so I said let it hang for the few days of trailer repair.

The tanks are full, topped it off with gas, put lead in the bow, and put all my gear inside. Just kidding. I don't have much inside other than life jackets, first aid kit, water shoes. I left the battery in.

My guess is the boat balances itself side to side. Most weight is centered. Much like floating without passengers.

Well geez couldnt they hang it a little lower just in case? Its not even my boat and it makes me nervous haha!
