Jeff: are you saying they do NOT offer the P23 or P25 with a diesel option? That’s surprising because I thought the P23 or P25 had a super yacht audience. I guess they will have to settle for the G23 or G25.

As of right now, the diesel option is only available on the G23 and G25. Not sure when or if that may change in the future though.

I'm not adept enough to look it up, but do the DI engines H6, ZZ8, etc. have only DI or a combination of DI and port? And have there been any issues with coking on the valves that has plagued some of the smaller turbo DI engines in cars like the Ecoboost and BMWs? It doesn't seem like valve coking has been as much of an issue in the NA V-8 applications, but you'll hear about it every once in a while.

My speculation is that these engines get warm enough fast enough and stay warm to overcome - and without a turbo the pressure issues wouldn't contribute, but depending on how you pick up riders and cruise, idling could be a factor.

IMHO...One has to have big brass balls and/or a lot of "stupid money" to be an early adopter (first year buyer) of a $250k+ boat with a company that has both a track record of drive train changes (e.g. 2:1 tranny in 2014 g-series) and a six year history (2013-2018) of dropping propellers with broken drive shafts into lakes.

I guess you maybe get some form of concierge service with a paragon.

Also, the 550 engine is NO LONGER AN OPTION on the Paragons!

You can't order a 550 on the Paragon anymore.

And I believe the gear ratio has changed, too.

Wonder what that will mean for the early buyers who are already mostly through construction? I'd hate to take delivery of a new boat, especially with that kind of price tag knowing it's immediately the "runt of the litter" and resale just went to crap!

Marinized LT4 from GM. Was only a matter of time, inboard market seems to adopt the latest motor designs 4-5 years after they are released by auto makers. This motor is a beast but is very thirsty!

Did the factory tour today. All Paragons made after the 6th of February have the new LT4 based motor. And Paragons use the same shaft as regular G series boats.
