Hey all--
Stopped by the biggest of three boatshows we have here in Kansas City, yesterday. It was held in Bartle Hall in downtown KC. The new Nautique dealer for KC is Joe Norton with Skier's Whart Extreme. They have 2 locations, Blue Springs, MO (about 30 min from KC area) and Osage Beach, MO (Lake of the Ozarks). Without being an online advertisement, I'd like to say that these guys are great!! We bought our '04 from them in Oct. of last year and have absolutely no complaints. They know their stuff about CC's, and really take good care of their customers!!! Here are some pics of the boats they brought. This was my first look at the 211, and I was actually very impressed. A lot of R&D went into this boat and it shows. TONS of storage!!! I'd probably still choose a 210 over it b/c we primarily wakeboard. This is a great all around/family/crossover boat...at least from what I've seen. I'm interested to ride behind it.
The best part of the show was getting to hang out with Scott Byerly for about an hour and a half. He's really chill and fun to talk to. My dad and I got a pic with him and I also learned some interesting info while talking to him. First, he has a video documentry about his life coming out sometime in April. A little more applicable to PN.com though: he mentioned CC is designing another boat. He didn't know much about it, except that it is bigger than a 211, smaller than a 226, and unlike the rumors about the 211, it WILL be a hardcore wakeboard boat. That's about all he knew...I didn't know if this is already common knowledge or not. Never thought I'd be shooting the sh*t with Scott Byerly.
(I have really close-up pics of the hydro-gate in the up and down positions if anyone is interested, I can post them. You'll be suprised how tiny the change is b/w up and down...but it's all fluid dynamics, I guess)
