Are there any competitive slalom skiers that have a tower on their 196 out there? My kids and friends are into wakeboarding so I am thinking about putting a tower on my next SN. Will there be any effect on the wake?

I don't think it will effect the wake much, but it won't look good! There was one at a ski school in Houston last year, I didn't notice anything different with the wake, but it just looked goofy. Its such a small, low profile boat then to have a big tower on it just didn't look right. But maybe its just me.\'95 SN Signature Ed.

Looks super cool, i have heard it causes lots of head bonks. The tow point is the first thing a driver hits when he stands up.Comment

They made it for a couple of years right around 2002-2003 or so. I liked the spider tower myself. I think it would be great for trick and barefoot as well. That pic is about the worst angle you could possibly have of the tower. I'd seriously consider it if I could find one.Comment

I agree, no tower on a 196. You could find a used extended pylon fairly cheap.
