Maxis Floe vs Revolution Shorestation

New user to PN but I’ve learned a ton reading on here over the last year and it finally lead me to get into a G21. Can’t get through winter soon enough! I do need to get a lift and canopy before then though and I think I’m between shore station and floe. I’m looking at 8k capacity for both (want to leave room to upgrade to G23 down the road . I’d like to go floe bc it seems like a nice product and the dealer is right in town and has a good reputation with the other wake boat owners on the lake who have them. I saw the maxis tilting canopy at the boat show which seems great in theory in regard to the tower but I’m wondering how well it works over time and in the wind. Anyone have any experience with these?

I also like the shore station, they are just 90 mins away and I don’t know anyone on the lake that has one but I’ve read a lot of good things about them. Their revolution roll up canopy system seems pretty slick so also wondering if anyone has any helpful insight on those?

If the price difference isn't big, just get a 10k lift. you get a G loaded up and it's pretty heavy.. 10k lift would theoretically let you lift the boat without having to drain ballast = less time filling and draining and maybe less wear on pumps? Maybe I'm crazy but if I could afford it that's what I would do... But I always over engineer everything.

10k vs 8k lifts have been a huge price jump, at least through last year they have been. The local dealer support would be good if they are good to work with. However from a durability stand point shore station typically will be better. Haven’t loved any portable lift canopies yet for towered boats, either too complicated or too heavy .

I have an 8K FLOE VSD and it handles the G23 just fine. 2019 G23 no issues.

I also recommend the longer canopy sides. Not sure what they are called but they come with aluminum frames, straps and velcro.

I can drive my G23 into the lift with the tower up so I don't think that canopy doohicky is necessary. Just make sure they set the canopy high enough so you can drive in.

Putting the canopy up high enough to leave the tower up usually requires up-graded longer canopy posts. I upgraded my 5000lb Shore Master to handle my new to me SAN210 with the tower up. Swapped out the canopy posts to some that are 7' long. It was quite the chore to get the canopy frame re-assembled that high up in the air with just two people. I have the 5000 lb Whisper Winch and a Lift Tech 110v electric drive. Its marginal capacity for that boat, but I already had the lift.

One thing I learned about this boat was to make sure the bunks are set wide so as not to crunch the speed wheel (adjusted them after this photo was taken).

Mine required no adjustment to the canopy legs.

I prefer the Revolution Shorestation hydraulic. Lots on my lake and people like them a lot. You can do the shorescreen too if side protection is a must.
Only concern would be the dealers distance from you - make sure they can realistically service you. Shorestations are pretty bulletproof, but service is still important.
