My Nautique app

Does anyone know how this app refreshes. I tracked it today on the way down to South Carolina. It pinged in northern Indiana and stayed there most of the day. Now it’s here but the boat is already in South Carolina.

I haven't been able to figure out how/when it updates. Seems kind of random to me. It does update more frequently if the boat is actually running.

Thanks. I figured it might update more when it’s on. I wish you could force a refresh or at least get a time stamp for when it did last.

Funny you ask this... The dealer registered me yesterday, and I tried to follow the link-but got this response. I'm told that they had issues yesterday with the system. All of this said, should it not be almost extactly the same as say, "Ford Pass" (where it pretty much keeps constant updates)? It won't be worth much if it only spools daily, or some equivalent...IMHO.

I did some testing over the past few days, and it DEFINITELY updates much more often when the boat is running. It updated multiple times while I was out driving around yesterday. I know because I kept checking.

I picked mine up in March and am still waiting to get access.Not sure how long it takes to get setup.

My salesman at the dealership I just bought my boat from sent me a link via email. I downloaded the app and once I hit the hyperlink in his original email, it asked me to set up a password and I was in.

My hours and fuel levels were right. My location is not even close. It is currently sitting about 25 miles from the actual location, unless I was duped with a fake Nautique that looks exactly like it on my lift.

At this moment, mine says that I have 5.8 hours on the boat (I have 8 hrs.)-and has my boat located about a 1/2 mile from where it is actually in my boathouse. Juxtaposed against, say, Ford Pass that I use for my 2020 F250-we have a L-O-N-G way to go with respect to currency and accuracy. Admittedly, I don't presume to understand the intricacies of such a program or app., but would think that GPS is GPS and the engine hours are right...so long as you have good access to the boat from a signal persective (which I certainly believe I have) Hopefully it will improve. Right now-it has little utility for me.

I will join the chorus - This app really needs to have a time/date stamp for last reading or a function that we can prompt it to refresh. One note of caution: when you activate this, it will slowly but surely start to drain your boat's battery. My dealer warned me to be sure to cut the battery off because of this issue. I left the battery on for a week just to test it, and I could definitely see the drain. Not huge, but it was noticeable. If you have to disable it by turning the battery off to kill it, then it really has no useful purpose. Good in theory though. I hope they keep improving it.
