My Nautique app

Mine just updated about an hour ago too. Whatever the issue was over the last few days must be fixed now.

In fact, my location is even more accurate now than it has ever been. My boat is sitting on the trailer right now on the gravel path leading to my boat ramp in my back yard. Normally when my boat is there, it just appears at the water's edge on the map. This time the location seems to be very precise, and it is right!

Maybe they were doing some upgrades to the system over the last few days or something.

RDT-G23 Interesting that Highland Lakes area has poor T-Mobile but Possum Kingdom has great T-Mobile. I don't have it, but my company iPad does and it works better there than almost anywhere else... save for foreign countries where it's great.

Can you talk a little more about your Verizon box? Is it a Nautique part? Did Nautique actual or Buxton do the legwork to get it?

I don’t have it yet. Nautique and I have been trying to figure out the issue; Buxton’s role is just to install it. Nautique is sending it to them for me. T-Mobile's coverage map says, “fair signal outdoors, and occasionally indoors” when I drop a pin on my lake house location. I’m only focused upon reception in these parts, of course. Heck-the way things have been going the past few months, I’ve actually had this on my mind...

I found out an important morsel of information with respect to the app feed infrastructure/cell network set up today... I have been having polite, slowly productive conversations with Nautique with respect to my issues with the MyNautique app. It turns out that the cell carrier they have my boat attached to is T (friggin) Mobile. No offense to T Mobile cell phone users out there (all 7 of you), but this may just be my issue. I am in a rural area ~50 miles north of Austin, TX. T-Mobile is rotten in urban Texas areas, and much worse than that where I am at the lake. We are switching my boat "box" (whatever the connection apparatus is) to Verizon. I have a Verizon phone and have full signal at my lake house... We will see. This is merely a point of reference for others having issues... T Mobile... (sheesh) I'm not sure this is different from Cricket or Mint mobile...

Let us know what you find out here, mine still doesn't update hardly ever...to the point I've quit using the app because it's worthless. If it's TMobile, that would definitely explain my issue as they have terrible/no coverage in my area.

We bought our g three weeks ago and I still have nothing regarding this app or an email link. I need to ask my dealer about it

Switching to the Verizon telematics box from the T-Mobile box has helped mine immensely.

Mine has fallen off the wagon a bit after starting out very strong. It is updating regularly (26 min ago), but with severely delayed information. The last update has information from around 10 days ago.

There are two data points that telematics box is sending: 1. (some of your boat vitals (batteries, hours, ballast levels, etc)) and 2. location. It just needs the a good cell signal for your boat vitals to be accessed via the app, but needs GPS (naturally) for the location. Swiching to the Verizon telematics box was absolutely the remedy to get me my boat vitals; that is essentially fixed. What isn't fixed is the GPS; I'm afraid (for whatever reason) that won't ever work while my boat is in my boathouse. As such, my boat is now always placed about 100 yards outside my boathouse-which doesn't kill me. It works fine once backed out of the boathouse. This is curious-as my boathouse has a good amount of "openness" to it. Many other boats are stored in enclosed storage buildings and still get the GPS location. I can't figure this one out. This is where the boat sits now. Pretty open, yes?

Touche'. That said, mine worked when it was in a metal storage building-that was completely enclosed...

Yea, RF is quite the art... it’s certainly possible wherever the radio is in conjunction with the boat and surrounding building, ground, etc on you lift happens to be a bad spot for gps.

Mine boat has not updated in 5 weeks. Still thinks it is at the dealer.
