Just got this one home. Should be a beautiful boat once I am done with it.

Needs a little gelcoat work, a new swim platform, graphics, and a good cleaning.

Jeff, you must have one of the most supportive wives of all time. It's one thing to stay busy with a hobby...but the physical size of the hobby is beyond big!

I rebuild pinball machines. I'm lucky to have the space. My wife enjoys playing them (the machines we own and the ones for sale). She gets a bit cranky when they dont get sold fast enough. The kids dont mind!

Yeah, my wife is pretty supportive. She gives me a hard time when I first bring a boat home, but once it is looking nice, she doesn't mind it. And then when it sells, she's really happy!

I came home from a show with 2 machines. My wife was not happy. She knew about 1, not the 2nd (and in pieces). However, when she saw the cash on the table after the sale, she was very happy!

The interior on this one isn't bad at all. It is missing one cushion, but the rest is in good shape. I'll get some pictures later today.

I am always amazed at how people can beat up their possessions, this looks like a nice project.

Jeff, where do you find these boats? I am not interested in another project, just curious.

Various places. Some from Craigslist, some just from word-of-mouth from people who know I buy boats like these, etc.

The boat was supposed to go in for gelcoat work today, but I got stuck on a work call that ran late, so it'll go in tomorrow. I spent the evening changing the spark plugs and the oil. I am going to try to fire it up tomorrow and see if / how it runs. I need to go pick up a couple of new batteries for it first.

By the way, this was my first oil change with my new Topsider with a 3/8" fitting that connects directly to the oil drain line from the engine. Wow, that thing works great! I didn't spill a single drop of oil using this setup. I should have cobbled this together long ago.

The boat is at North Lake Fiberglass having the gelcoat repaired now. It looks like we're going to respray one entire side (all three colors) plus the black on the bottom of the hull. The rest will be sanded and buffed, and then I'll add new graphics. It will look brand new when we're done with it!

I did get the electronics functional this afternoon too, and was pleasantly surprised to find this. I love a low-hour boat!

I did the same for the first time this fall. Something that I had been meaning to do for years but for some reason never got around to doing. It worked incredibility well.
