Best Smart phone holder for boat

What is the best smart phone holder for boat use (2008 230)? I mean like that doesn't fall off going over waves, or even double ups... Any advice is appreciated... (windshield mount? cup mount? dash mount? I feel like there are so many that promise they stick, but then don't .... TIA
I know the newer boats are probably designed with this in mind..

I use a suction cup mount that puts the phone right at my throttle hand fingers. It snakes around the cup holder and is right at my fingertips. It hasn’t ever broke loose on the water. I’ll try and scoop up a pic .

I bought a few cheap ones and tore them apart to modify until one finally worked the way I wanted it to. On my '03 there was a stereo remote to the left of the steering wheel, so I wanted to use that space. I went through many iterations to get it to work perfectly. I'll try to take a pic but the phone holders themselves were cheap from amazon, MPOW brand and nothing special in themselves.

We been using this for many years. Never dropped a phone. Put to right of windshield. And a 2nd one on center panel glass to record the rider...

Personally, I wouldn't use any holder that held the phone above the gunnel. One bad wake hit or an inadvertent clip release might just shoot that bad boy overboard. I'd opt for a lower vs higher mount. Call me paranoid I guess.....

1982 Mastercraft Powerslot - gone (a primitive but wonderful beast)

I had one like SWAT guy's but apparently my gel coat isn't as clean as his and mine kept coming off. The bendable arm put too much torque on mine and it would detach all too frequently. I switched to this one and it was a huge improvement.
