GS20 Owners - Can you still drive the boat with the tower fully lowered?

I'm looking at buying a GS20 to replace are older prostar 197 but my dilemma is in leaving the cove of our lakehouse I have to drive under a very short bridge necessitating fully lowering the tower to get under. Is the boat realistically driveable with the tower fully lowered with a bimini and speakers during the short time I would be under the bridge. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Yes you can do it, but you won't be able to sit in the drivers seat.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Maybe I can sit behind the drivers seat and reach over to drive.

We just bought a 2019 GS20 and are new to wake surf boats in general. The other thing to consider is the bimini has to go straight up first (before it will lower) before you can lower the tower. When you lower the tower, it will go below the windshield, but as I recall the bimini will be above it. If we want to drop the tower in the lift It will have to be done before the boat goes into the lift with a bimini because of how it folds down (goes up first), and yes the boat can be driven with the tower down, but very inconvenient.

Thanks that's helpful, honestly it may be a deal killer that pushes me to a MC XT20 or XT21. The MC won't fit in my 7 foot garage door but at least I could easily drive under our low bridge plus there's MC dealer 5 miles from my lakehouse with the nautique dealer back in town 60+ miles away. I like the GS20 better but given the dealership situation and the tower folding into the driver's seat I'm probably forced into looking into increasing the garage door height and getting the MC.

We loved the XT20 but at the end of the day, we couldn't find the XT20 with the upgrades we wanted (the downside to dealers only selling in their area) and the GS20 ended up being less expensive. The tower and not having a reversible seat are our biggest drawback in the GS20. You will love either boat you get! Good luck!
