Boat Lift Canopy

Hi All, first time poster.
I have 2016 Sport Nautique 200V sitting on a Lakeside Lift vertical lift. I'm about to order a canopy for the lift but have a couple questions so hoping for some insight...
The canopy legs are 4 feet but there is an option for extensions (another 4 feet). I'd prefer not to get the extensions (i think) so I can keep the boat tucked under. Can't find exact measurements but looks like the top of tower from waterline is 7-7.5 feet. Sound right? Any one else have similar boat and did you need or go with extensions? Benefits? Once on the lift, realize I'll need to put the tower down before raising boat.

trade off's...short legs and lowering tower keeps the boat cleaner if you tuck it under. but worse air flow to dry out, and you can't walk around the boat and wipe down as tower in the way...

honestly, i go out to the boat wipe it down and take naps and watch boats go by. make phone calls while relaxing in the boat, etc.

so i would not want to have the shorter canopy legs.
