Difference is between a 1991 Barefoot versus Excel?

Hi there,

Does somebody know what the "major" difference is between a 1991 Barefoot versus Excel.
Both engine in the back & V-drive.
Dimensions are equal. 454 engine as offered to me know.

Has the Barefoot a SkiNautique flat bottom design?
And what I remember, has the Excel a strong V-bottom.

Further, is it a PCM transmission-V-drive combo, on such a 1991 or a Walter or Velvet?
Is this transmission setup that rare / exotic that service parts would be a problem?

Hulls are the same, a 351 in the excel, 454 in the barefoots, and different graphic/color packages. My Excel has the walter V-drive

I don't think all Barefoots had the 454, and the 454 was an option on the Excel. I believe the only difference is the stickering.

I had a Barefoot with the 351, 454 was an option just like the Python.

Same boats, different name. Although the Barefoot only had the 351 HO (285hp?) and 454 (330hp & HO 350hp) engine options while the Excel also came with the 351 (260hp) engine.
Also some version were closed bow and some open bow.. Someboady know what the story is behind that?
