Thoughts on this 2005 SV-211 team edition?

I just don't trust anyone that lists a boat for sale and takes what appears to be no time to even wipe it down...you will have no idea how they treated maintenance on everything else in the drive line through the last 15 years and that is scary. A new interior can cost $4-6K,, for perspective - I just paid about $950 for the 3 back hatches on my 2004.

The used market is tough right now so you have to keep searching and jump on anything as soon as it is listed!

I've been in contact with the owner and like what I'm hearing so far, just not sure on the price.

He is the 2nd owner and says that he has 6 years worth of detailed service records. Everything was maintained and all service was done by the local marina. There is nothing wrong with the boat, but it does have a lot of hours at 1,065, which I know will affect the resale value more than anything else.

Interior and exterior both look to be in good shape. Has the Excalibur 343 engine because it's a 2008 (not sure how this stacks up against the PCM 330?).

Tandem axle trailer with disc brakes is in great condition with newer tires, runners, and carpet. Lights and electric works.

Also has one 400lb fat sac in each locker that is plumbed inline with the stock ballasts and can be controlled with the stock controls.

What is fair market value for this boat? He's asking $37,500.

He also sent me a video walk through of the boat and trailer and all seemed well.

Re the green boat on the facebook market page...I'd closely look for saltwater history. It's got a galvanized trailer, an enclosed cooling system and some odd corrosion in the 12v power plug in one of the pictures. Boat shows an Indiana reg...obviously no where near salt water... Anyway, something seems a bit off and it would just be something I'd look at carefully.

Edit: Benefit of the 2008 boat is that it comes with the zero off (someone previously noted the ~ 1k price to upgrade a PP to a stargazer unit) and the later model wake system (2006+).

Very good condition and been maintained by dealer, including winterization.

What do you guys think? Only thing I am not sure about is the closed cooling system. I asked and the owner told me that is has never seen salt water, which was my original assumption.

I like that one better. It is either a Limited or Team Edition, and the SeaDek upgrade looks nice! The closed cooling would cause me to question salt water use, but that option doesn't always mean salt water use. In fact, my 2020 G23 is a Coastal Edition, and I have never used it in salt. It appears to be missing the optional stern seat, but that's no big deal unless you specifically wanted that.

Good looking boat! The upgraded flooring is a big plus and the vinyl looks to be in good condition.

That is definitely worth taking a look at! We do use our rear bench seat a lot. The bow filler cushion is a lot easier to find.
