Cleaning SeaDek

Ever wonder what to use to clean your SeaDek? I just tried Dek Magic, SeaDek's own cleaning product, and it works great, even on light-colored SeaDek.

I’ll have to try that. I’ve been using that $.99 Awesome degreaser/cleaner and a soft bristle brush. It works but it takes a lot of effort.

Hey Jeff how did you use the stuff? Do you just spray the pads with water then spray this stuff on it, let sit for a few minutes then power wash off?

I wet the SeaDek, then applied the Dek Magic, then used a soft brush to work it in a bit, then hosed it all down.

I will say, be sure you rinse it REALLY thoroughly. I took a major spill the next time I had the boat out. I was standing in the walk through, reached for a rope, and slipped and fell all the way down the back of the boat and into the water. I hit the walk through, the cooler step, and the swim platform with my back on the way down. My back is badly bruised and really hurts.

This would not have happened if I had been more thorough in rinsing the SeaDek after I cleaned it. It was my own fault.
