I just wanted to introduce myself on the general discussion board before I start posting on Maint & Diagnostic Info regarding issues I am dealing with.
Background:
When it came time to invest in my boat. the criteria was to purchase a lower hour 04-07 nautique in the 30k-40k range. During this process boats were flying off the shelf and (2) SV-211's sold right out from underneath me around 30k. I was able to start negotiations on a 2006 Air 226 in pretty good shape for 39k with 415 Hours. The seller claimed that the boat was in great shape and meticulously maintained, which for the most part is true aside from overdue maint, neglected trailer, and run related issues.
I paid a nautique dealer at lake lanier ATL to do a trade inspection which was about the most worthless investment ever. The short is.... trailer feedback was way off the mark, the inspection report was almost impossible to get my hands on, and the boat that had no issues has been throwing codes since I first put it in the water. I am talking about the first 5 minutes of run time and ever since.
I must disclose that I am frustrated to say the least with my purchase experience but that I am now the proud owner of a beautiful boat, exactly what I wanted, and once I work my way through the diagnostic issues, will be a great boat for me and my family.
