No teak deck for the 210 in the build a boat.

Have to say the 196 is a beauty, and you can get a teak platform, but no colored deck.

That's not the 07 website, it looks like they just added one page for the new 236.

A year later and they STILL have not fixed the color selector on the 210. The stupid thing still is missing the back sundeck. CC's website is honestly a joke anyways, maybe they'll finally contract it out this year and put something decent up...

I see they still can't decide how much the 211 weights, it was 3350lbs last year now it's 3500lbs. Are they using a different vdrive on the 211 and 236? The gear reduction is 1.48:1 instead of 1.46:1?

They have contracted it out for this next year ('07). It will be totally new from what I have heard.

Are they ever going to offer a colored deck again? My first priority is wake when looking for a boat no doubt. Honestly though, I don't think I would consider a new boat when I can buy a used one and get the colors that I want. It is crazy that CC is the best one, but is one of the only ones that won't put color above the rub rail. I say someone needs to light a fire under their A$$. I'm sure others agree.

I am not sure if they're planning to offer that again or not. I heard (not sure how accurate) that the reason they stopped was because of concerns that the colored decks would fade, and that CC might have to warranty that under the lifetime hull warranty.

That is what I heard too. The thing is that all boat companies offer the lifetime warranty and they still offer the colored decks. It just seems like with all the technology we have access to...not to mention all the new equipment in the new factory that they should be able to make a colored deck that won't fade. Or put it in the fine print that it might fade a little and that is not covered under warranty. I mean doesn't every boat fade over time.

I agree. I would like to see it offered again as well. Maybe they will offer it for next year, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Sorry about posting the new site thing, I saw the 236 on there and assumed it was the full on 07 site.

No apologies for taking every opportunity to express my disappointment over not offering colored decks or a teak platform on the 210. I also think they need to offer the old school FCT as an option on the 210.

Colored deck simply makes the boat look nicer if you go with that option. The competition is unafraid and if you really know anything about sun exposure etc, the hull sees a good deal of UV as well, especially in the morning and afternoon when the sun is also skipping off the water. They have these new fangled things called "Covers", alot of people use them to keep junk out of their boat and protect it from the elements.

The Old School FCT and the teak platform are about style and heritage. I know the composite platform probably functions better, but I simply like the understated look of the old FCT and the look of a teak platform.

i think it is less about warranty and more about a reputation for quality... 10 years down the road from now when faded, colored decks start popping up, CC (i am assuming) does not want to be associated with poor quality materials because of faded decks. they have built a reputation for long lasting, quality boats...if red boats start turning pink 10 years from now (even if it is just the decks), it could potentially steer a lot of buyers away from the brand...
