I see your point and it's well stated.
I think it's more about their poorly guided aesthetics and cutting a corner instead of offering options. A short list of everyone I can think of offering colored decks:
Mastercraft
Tige
Malibu
Supra (offers an accent above the rail and has some special editions)
Centurian (has a colored deck package)
Epic
MB Sports
Hmmmm. Seems to be just about every boat company that produces a reasonable inboard has some sort of colored deck or accent option above the rail.
